Hello!
After earning my BFA in Photojournalism from the Corcoran College of Art +Design, I completed a few internships, assisted established photographers, and managed a studio before I officially set sail on my own and launched Erika Nizborski Photography in 2013.
Here I am, living the dream - I've followed my passion! Every day I strive to learn new techniques and continue to grow as an artist. My main subject is people. Dynamic portraiture is one of my favorite things to photograph. I consider it a huge honor to document moments in your life that you will cherish forever. It's really important to me that I get to know you so I can capture something real. It takes patience and time to accomplish the work that I create.
Aside from photographing couples and families, I'm also an event, editorial, and portrait photographer for several non-profits, law firms, trade groups, educational institutions and other businesses. If you are looking for that portfolio of my work visit: enphotoco.com
In 2020, when our world changed, it deeply affected my business. I took time to consider how else I could use my knowledge and craft while still focusing on my established business. I am proud to announce that in the Fall of 2020 I began teaching digital photography and photojournalism part- time at Elizabeth SetonHigh School in Bladensburg, Maryland. While Erika Nizborski Photography is, and will always be, my main passion and focus, teaching has brought so much joy to my life. Adding educator to my job description was definitely the highlight of the year for me.
