Hello!

After earning my BFA in Photojournalism from the Corcoran College of Art +Design, I completed a few internships, assisted established photographers, and managed a studio before I officially set sail on my own and launched Erika Nizborski Photography in 2013. 

Here I am, living the dream - I've followed my passion! Every day I strive to learn new techniques and continue to grow as an artist. My main subject is people. Dynamic portraiture is one of my favorite things to photograph. I consider it a huge honor to document moments in your life that you will cherish forever. It's really important to me that I get to know you so I can capture something real. It takes patience and time to accomplish the work that I create.

In 2022 my husband Steve and I welcomed our son Alistair into the world. Becoming a mother has been an incredible experience, it has changed who I am as a person in so many ways. I've found a real passion for family photography and a new found approach now that I can relate to the parents in a way I never could before.
